Your financial inputs never leave your device

Every calculation on PayBrackets (salaries, wages, filing status, 401(k) rates) runs in JavaScript in your browser. The numbers you type are not transmitted to, stored on, or visible to our servers. Shareable URLs contain your inputs only if you copy and share them.

What we do collect

Standard, aggregate web analytics: pages visited, approximate region (country/state level), device type, and referral source. We use this to understand which calculators help people and to fix problems. We do not collect names, emails (unless you email us), or precise location.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with our pages through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replays. Text you type into calculator fields is masked and not recorded. Clarity may use cookies as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Advertising

PayBrackets is supported by advertising (including Google AdSense). Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where you have consented. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies of our own. Our analytics and advertising partners (Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Microsoft Clarity) may set cookies, including first-party analytics cookies like Google's _ga, as described above; browser settings and the opt-out links control these.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws), you may have rights to access, delete, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. Since we hold essentially no personal data, most requests concern ad partners. Use the opt-out links above, or email us and we'll help.

Children

PayBrackets is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
